Why MC2 and MC3 Glass Works So Well:... Advanced technology, engineering and construction methods are used to produce MC2 and MC3 glass. A sophisticated magnetron sputter coating system applies up to eleven different coatings to the glass in a process that spans over three football fields in length. Computer engineered microscopic layers of exotic metals and compounds create a variety of MC2 and MC3 special products, which far outperform all other glazings. Here are some of the advantages...

Durability: Dual seal silicone sealant with a P.I.B. primary seal and non broken bent corners provide a panel that resists seal failure and sloped glazing stress factors up to eight times better than alternative edge seal constructions. The result is a product designed to last a lifetime.
Relative Heat Gain: (see chart - column M) - Summer overheating is absolutely controlled to be almost non existent. This is the biggest problem with sunroom and skylight glazing. This results in a room that is easy to keep cool in the summertime.
Winter R-Value: (see chart - column O) - MC2 and MC3 glass provide superior insulation against cold weather. This results in a room that is easy and economical to keep warm in the wintertime.
Glare Reduction: (see chart - column E) - too much sun glaring in your eyes can make your sunroom or skylight very uncomfortable. Our glass is designed to reduce glare (visible light) to a level that is comfortable for your eyes. Fabric fading is also reduced.
Safety: All Four Seasons glass is tempered to provide a high degree of safety and additional strength for you and your family. Our tempered glass is four to six times stronger than ordinary glass and if broken would shatter into harmless rounded pellets. Meets or exceeds ANSI 297.1 codes for safety.
